Fees and eligibility requirements
The program is free. Eligibility requirements for home seekers:

Be at least 18 years old
Be capable of living independently and managing their own personal affairs
Pass a criminal background check and reference checks
Have a connection to Howard County (current resident, working or in school here, or have a job-acceptance letter from an employer located here)
Have an annual household income less than 80% of the Howard County area median income. This is approximately $79,000 for a 1-person household, and higher amounts for larger households. We'll collect your income info in a later step.
